This virtual exhibit unpacks the origin, use, impact, and evolution of arguably the most influential and widely known racial slur in history. The mission of this exhibit is to incite and increase education and understanding surrounding race and culture in the United States, and in turn inspire racial tolerance and cultural respect.

This audio/visual artistic expression represents the dueling emotions of joy and pain as core elements of the Black American experience that we who identify as Black deal with every day, all because of the skin we are in.
